Pageant Planned At Riccarton
A nativity pageant, including carol-singing will be given by about 55 children of St. Peter’s Church, Upper Riccarton, next Sunday, at 3.30 p.m. Produced by Mrs Neville Vincent, it will be held in the grounds of her home, 106 Hansons lane, and is in aid of “the people next door” rice bowl Christinas appeal for south-east Asian refugees, sponsored by the National Council of Churches. A special feature of the pageant will be a peace tableau, “Children of all nations.” It will be a topical item with children in the national costumes of Africa. Egypt, Israel. Russia, and America. A children’s choir win lead community carol singing. If the weather is wet the pageant will be held at St. Peter’s Church, in Yaldhurst roa<|.
