Request For Australians | A letter from the Tourist 1 and Publicity Department j asking about the use of the i ■ school hostel for school i children from Australia 1 brought to New Zealand for . a tour, was received by the', board of governors of Christchurch Boys High School. Several members of the L board spoke in favour of the! scheme and inquiries willl' be made regarding the supervision and catering for the! children. Mr C, H. McFarlane said that he considered it a fine scheme. Mr G. G. Turbott said that it was one-way of making! money for the hostel. He did] not think that the board] should take the children j unless it could make money; from the scheme. It could: be suggested to the depart-] ment that it should try the University of Canterbury! should the board not agree.]
