Plan For Blue Era

The New Zealand-bred colt Blue Era will return to Sydney during the autumn to run in the Australian Jockey Club Invitation Cup over one mile and a half at Randwick on April 14. Both the owner, Mrs N. H Georgeff, and the trainer, G Murphy, said today they would like to return to Sydney to offset the loss of the last A.J.C. Derby, on a protest. to Summer Fair. After that race the jockey. M. Schumacher, was disqualified for holding the right leg of T, Hill, the rider of Summer Fair, in the last 50 yards. Mrs Georgeff said today a Programme for the colt for the autumn had not been fully discussed yet. The New Zealand owner. Mr L. Donald, said today he would send his horse Blue Lodge to Sydney for the race but he would run in weigh t-for-age races in Melbourne before the trip. The weigh t-for-age Queen Elizabeth Stakes. over a mile and a half on March 17, will be Blue Lodge's main Victorian mission. Mr Donald added that trouble in Blue Lodge's leg had cleared up.
