MANAGER AT MANGERE
Mr R. W. Emery Appointed
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 7. The Auckland Airport Committee today appointed Mr R. W. G. Emery, Civil Aviation Administration regional controller in Auckland, to be manager of the internation airport at Mangere. There were 230 applicants for the £2400 a year position. Mr Emery, aged 46, is a member of the airport committee’s technical advisory committee. He served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force during the Second World War. and is a former New Zealand cricket representative.
