Week-end Thefts From Shops
Cash amounting to £l5 6s 6d was stolen from the premises of the De von port Footwear Company at 80 Falsgrave street on Friday night Twenty-two tins of cod fillet. valued at £3 2s 4d. were taken when the grocery shop of Raymond Seeker, at 39 Bewdley street was entered by forcing a rear door on Friday night Cigarettes worth £1 IQs. and £2 10s in cash were stolen from the tobacconist’s shop of Desmond Churchill in Shirley road at the weekend. The premises of the Home Furnishing Company at 215 Waltham road were entered during the week-end and about £2 7s (Id and seven gallons of petrol were stolen.
