AVON DUCKS DECREASE

More Swans And Geese The duck population of the Avon river decreased from 2735 at August 9. 1960, to 1491 at August 9, this year, according to the annual report of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The report says that a similar decrease was found at the Heathcote river, where the numbers dropped from 231 to 121. A summary of the count taken at Lake Forsyth.
