Another Petrol Tin Found
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 27. A second petrol tin has been found in the search for Michael Rockefeller, the head of the Department of Internal Affairs (Mr H. Veldkamp) said in Hollandia today, the British United Press reported. It had been found at the mOuth of the Digul river, near Frederik Hendrik Island. A water bottle that was swept away when Mr Rockefeller’s catamaran overturned nine days ago has also been found. Yesterday, Mr Renee Wassing. Mr Rockefeller’s companion, who stayed with the catamaran and was rescued, said he was almost certain that another petrol tin, found 30 miles off shore on Friday morning, was one of two used by Mr Rockefeller in trying to swim ashore. The intensive search of the coastal .area where Mr Rockefeller disappeared will be continued tomorrow by native patrols. Helicopters and naval vessels will be' withdrawn today, the news agency reported. r Veldkamp said: “We not stop the search before everything possible has been done and every place has been searched.” Mr Rockefeller’s father, Gbvernor Nelson Rockefeller, of New York, today made a second flight over the desolate southern Dutch New Guinea coastline, according to reports reaching Port Moresby.
