YACHTING D. Hobson To Sail For Tanner Cup

D. Hobson, oi the Waimskanri Sailing Club. Will represent Canterbury in the New Zealand P Class contest for the Tanner Cup to be held at Westhaven. Neale, who has done little F Class sailing this season, led easily in the first two races on Saturday. He was over the line at the head of the fleet in the first race, but was disqualified because of a racing breach, falling to yield right of way. He was well ahead in the second race when a shroud shackle came adrift and he was dismasted. Neale will, however, sail at Westhaven as the Charteris Bay representative In the Taurangi Cup inter-club series. As a result of the trial races sailed in the last two days. Boulton will represent Mount Pleasant in the Tauranga Cup contest; Hobson will represent w-tmakariri; and B. Lyons will represent the Christchurch r acht Club.
