Motor Racing INTER-CLUB GYMKHANA
43 Contestants At Motukarara Many spectators watched the annual inter-club rymkhana, held on Mr N. R. Withell’s proSerty at Motukarara by the LG. Car Club yesterday. The weather was fine for most of the day although somewhat overcast during the afternoon. There were 43 contestants: 24 from the Canterbury Car Club, five from the University Car Club, 12 from the M.G. club, and two from the Ashburton Car Club. The gymkhana comprised various events to test thriving skill. These included driving into "garages” and stopping on a rope The clubs were competing for the Lupp challenge trophy and the Griffiths Cup. The Lupp trophy was competed for by teams of four drivers from each club. Griffiths Cup (Club Competition ). —Canterbury University Car Club. 24 points, 1; M.G.
