QUEEN OF TONGA
Salote Back In N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 26. Queen Salote of Tonga arrived in Auckland today in the Tofua for an unofficial visit to New Zealand. Among the crowd waiting to meet the ship as it
berthed were a number of her subjects at present living in Auckland. The Minister of Island Territories (Mr Gotz) went aboard the ship to welcome her. She received a bouquet from a tiny Tongan flower girl before being driven to "Atalanga," her private home in Epsom. About December 13 Queen Salote will fly to Australia. After returning to Auckland in mld-January she will remain for two to three months before going to Tonga.
