Contaminated Boiler Water (NZ Press Assoewtum) AUCKLAND. Nov 26 Boiler water contaminated with seawater forced the 29.614-ton passenger liner Iberia to return to Auckland on Saturday morning after sailing for Suva late on Friday night. Late tonight marine ex pert* were still investigating the cause of the trouble The master ot the ship, Captain I. M. Sinclair sail the seawater came from within the vessel It was used for cooling. Probably it had been caused by a leaking joint "or something like that,” he said. Captain Sinclair said he could give no estimated time of departure tai the liner. That would depend on the report he received from the investigators. The boilers will need to be emptied, cleaned out and refilled.
