ENGINEERS AT HOSPITALS
Conference Opened
Tribute* to the essential parti played by engineeri in maintaining the standard of treatment for patients in hospitals were paid by the chairman of the North Canterbury Hospital Board (Dr. L C. L. Averill) and the board's medical superintendent-in-chief (Dr. T. Morton) at the opening of the annual conference of the New Zealand Hospital Engineers’ Association.
Dr. AveriU and Dr. Morton and the association president (Mr G W Dell, ot Napipr) paid particular tribute to the host engineer, Mr A. Wilson, who next year will retire from hU position as chief engineer to the North Canterbury Hospital Board Mr Wilson had Joined the board's staff in 1933 and had given sterling service, skid Dr. Averill. More than 00 of the asaociations 100 members attended the two-day conference. Thirty-three of the 35 hospital boards in New Zea- ; land were represented.
