Swimming JAPANESE TOUR
Itinerary For N.Z. The Japanese swimmingteam, which includes the world 200 metres record holder, T. Yamanaka. will arrive in New Zealand on December 12. according to Mr A. J. Donaldson, president of the New Zealand Swimming Association. Mr Donaldson said last evening that the New Zealand selectors would be asked to pick the best New Zealand swimmers to travel with the team to provide suitable competition. The Australian Swimming Association had been asked to send one or two good swimmers for the tour. All appearances will be held in 55-yard pools. Mr L. Donaldson has been chosen as liaison officer for the Japanese team. The itinerary, which is still subject to confirmation. is: December 13, at Christchurch; December 16. at Blenheim: December 18, at Naenae (Wellington): December 20 and 22, at Auckland.
