Some previous work in the special field of economic statistics would be an advantage, but is not essential. Salary scale and commencing level will be determined in accordance with qualifications and experience, in one of the following ranges:— Grade 1: £l2OO x 60-£1360 per annum. Grade II: £1320 x 80-£1560 per annum. Grade III: £1560 X 80-£1720 per annum. In addition a cost of living allowance currently amounting to £47 per annum is payable and exemption from tuition fees is granted for any course undertaken at the University during the period of employment. The successful applicant will be jointly responsible with the McCaughey Professor of Psychology for the administration of the Department of Psychology Each Professor together with whoever occupies the Associate Professorship already to the Department will be responsible for the immediate supervision of the teaching and research in one subdivision of the whole field (eg. General Experimental Psychology. Abnormal and Clinical Psychology. Indlvtdiual Differences and Measurement), to be determined after consultation between the two Professors. Salary will be at the rate of £4250 per annum, plus cost of living adjustments (at present £47 pa.). There is retirement provision under either the Sydney University Professorial Superannuation Scheme or the New South Wales State Superannuation Scheme.
