Army Train Held Up
(N.Z. Press Assn.— Cfrpyright) ! BERLIN, Nov. 23. ' Soviet troops held up a United States Army passen-> ger train between West Ber-’ lin and West Germany all night. the United States Army said today. The train, with 74 American and other allied troops and family members aboard, was stopped at Marienborn. East Germany, about 100 miles west of Berlin, at 10.45 p.m. last night, the Army said. It was still being held at 8.40 am. today, a spokesman reported, according to the Associated Press The Soviet troops were claiming that an East German broke into the train and stowed away, a United States spokesman said. The United States Army made no official comment on the stowaway claim but said the train’s commander, acting on standing instructions, refused to let anyone leave the train at Marienborn and had informed headquarters. x
