Killing Quotas Discussed
(Prom Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. Quotas for killing lambs at Canterbury freezing works were discussed today by the Minister of Labour (Mr Shand) and representatives of the Freezing Workers’ Union. The district president of the union (Mr W. T. Pitama) and its secretary (Mr S. Arnst) spent three-quartera of an hour with Mr Shand. After the discussions, neither Mr Shand nor the union representatives was prepared to comment.
