Work Started On Taupo Aerodrome
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 24. Work began today at Rangi. tailci, 23 miles from Taupo, on the formation of a 5000 ft airstrip to serve Airlines of New Zealand till a permanent aerodrome is built near Taupo next year. The site, part Maori land and part farmland, will be stripped of nine inches of topsoil and then compacted. It is expected to be ready for Civil Aviation Admin irtrationinspection in a fortnight.
