Inspection Of Wangara
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MELBOURNE, Nov. 23. : Surveyors who inspected . the freighter Wangara at , ; Nelson pier yesterday re- > ' ported fairly extensive dam- : age to the ship's bottom . amidships. The Wangara went aground on Saturday morning near i the entrance to the Rip. while she was on her way I to Auckland with a cargo of 2500 tons of steel billets. She ■ w’as pulled off the reef late last night w’hen the weather calmed dowm. The acting superintendent ' of Australian National Line, . Captain T. Potts, said that the Wangara would begin offi loading her cargo today before entering dry dock. Repairs are expected to take about four months.
