Local Authorities Loans Act. ■ 1956. and all other Acts it in J that behalf enabling the Amur! : County Council and by virtue of 1 the sanction of the Local • Authorities Loans Board granted ‘ at a meeting of the Board held • October 3. 1961, hereby resolves . as follows: 1 That the Amuri County i Council proceed to raise a loan of £15,000 (fifteen thousand pounds) to be known as the Waiau Town- ' ship Water Supply Loan. 1961. for the purpose of providing a water supply in • the Waiau Township Water Supply Special Area. 2 The term for which the said J loan or any part thereof ' may be borrowed shall be 10 years. i 3 The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or 1 rates exceeding five and one eighth per cent per annum. : 4 That the loan be raised by the issue of stock in multiples of <lO with a mini- . mum of £lOO. 5 That provision for the re- . payment thereof shall be a ' sinking fund annual payment to which shall be made at the rate of not Tess ’ than one pound eight shil1 lings and seven pence per r cent, per annum on the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and 5 not repaid. 5 6 The payment of interest and repayment of principal i in respect to the said loan » shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect to the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. 7 The rate payable for brokerage. underwriting and firocuration fees of the said oan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount ; raised 8 No money shall be borrowed under thia sanction after the expiration of three years from the date hereof. 9 That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the loan and the charges thereon a special rate 1.4 pence in the pound on the capital value of all rateable lands in the Waiau Township Water Supply Special Area. 10 That the Chairman and Clerk of the County of Amuri be empowered to execute under seal the documents issued in respect of the said loan. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956. It is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held at 1.30 p.m., on the first day of December. 1961, for confirmation as a Special Order. It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 5 per cent, of the ratepayers in the Waiau Township Water Supply Special Area so demand by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post . to the undersigned before the . first day of December. 1961.
