FLOWER SHOW
Somerfield Garden Club
When the president of the Canterbury Horticultural Society (Mr J. Watling) opened the Somerfield Garden Club's annual flower show recently, he complimented members on the quality of exhibits, produced in spite of adverse weather. Mrs G. Webb, patron of the club, presented cups to section winners and Mrs A. Fraser presented prizes to place-getters. Mrs M. F. B. Judd, president of the club, welcomed members and representatives of other garden clubs. Cups were presented as follows: — Decorative section: premier award. Mrs R. C. Timms; most points, Mrs R. C. Timms. Vegetable section: premier award. Mrs W A. Hardie: most points. Mrs W. A. Hardie. Rose section, premier bloom. Mrs W. A. Hardie; most points, Mrs W. A. Hardie. Cut ffowers: premier award. Mrs L. E. Bullen: most points, Mrs W. A. Hardie.
