DAMAGED AIRCRAFT
Completion Of Repairs
Repairs to the Otter alrS raf *. _ was purchased the j?- N Z-A.F. from the United States some months ago in a damaged condition have been completed, and the aircraft test-flown. The machine was taken to the hangar of De Havilland Aircraft, Ltd., at Wellington airport for repairs, and will be delivered back to the R.N.Z.A.F. It is expected it will soon be flown to Woodbourne.
Originally part of Sir Vivian Fuch’s Antarctic expedition the machine was later sold to the United States. It was damaged by a snocat at Scott base and was bought by the R.N.Z.A.F.
