MOTELS FOR PARENTS
Aid When Visiting Handicapped (N.Z. Press Association) LEVIN, Nov. 16. To ease the financial burden on parents visiting tiheir intellectually handicapped children at Devin Hospital and training school, motels are being built at Devin. The project is being sponsored by the Hawke’s Bay Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Parents’ Association, which is giving the £3OOO towards the estimated total cost of £5OOO. There are about 640 children at the Devin institution. The motels will provide temporary low-cost accommodation for parents, guardians, or relatives.
