PROTEST IN STREETS
Visit To Oslo By Strauss (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) OSLO, November 14. About 1000 people marched through the streets of Oslo last evening in protest against the forthcomina visit of the West German Defence Minister (Mr Strauss), who is due this evening. Many marchers carried banners and placards including "Strauss is unwanted in Norway,” "We have seen enough of German militarism." "West Germany’s legal machine has 700 Nazi judges,” and “No co-operation with Hitler’s general*.” The march ended in a rally in one of the town’s main squares, where several speakers attacked the “revival of West German militarism” and Norway’s NA.T.O. membership. The demonstrators approved a resolution declaring that a disarmed and neutral Germany was vital to peace. The resolution also urged the Norwegian Government to work for big-Power negotiations on Germany and demanded that it cancel Mr Strauss's visit.
