Endorsement Of Licence (N.Z.P A.-Reuter— Copyright} LONDON. Nov. 14. Viscount Montgomery of Alamein—who said he had been driving vehicles for 30 years “without troubling anyone but the Germans”— had his licence endorsed today. The chairman of Bow Street Magistrate's Court. Colonel B. Bennett, fined him £lO for driving without due care and attention and driving the wrong way up a one-way street in Westminster. Lord Montgomery, who is ’O. was not in Court, but pleaded guilty to both offences. Defending. Mr N. E. Bell produced Lord Montgomery's “pence which dated from 1933 and had no endorsements. He said Lord Montgomery had written saying: “I do hope you will be able to persuade the Court not to endorse my licence. "I have been driving cars for SO years.
