Library For North New Brighton
Agreement had been reached with the reserves committee and the North New Brighton War Memorial Community Centre for accommodation to be provided in the centre for a public library, the library committee reported to the City Council last evening. The committee had authorised the installation of shelving: and to assist with the initial purchase of books it recommended the council to make a loan of £250 to the North New Brighton library committee, the loan to be repaid by annual deductions of £5O from the council’s subsidy to the library.
