N.Z. Shares Still Firm, But Overseas Easier
?Sew Zealand shares continued firm in stock exchange trading yesterday with two rises to every fall, but overseas shares were easier with five rises and nine falls. Wright Stephenson, up Is 6d, and Reid Rubber, Is higher, made the best gains among New Zealand sharesDominion Breweries, New Zealand Breweries and Ballins Industries were firmer, while National Insurance and New Zealand Insurance B again improved. Southland Frozen Meat, D.1.C., Fletcher notes. General Foods, J. "VNattie rights, Motor Specialties and Woolworths N.Z. w’ere also firmer. Among overseas shares Bank of New South Wales, National Mortgage B, A.C.1., Ansett and Toppa improved.
