FERRY ROAD CORNER
Move To Remove “Danger Spot” A danger spot in the present lay-out of the Moorhouse avenue-Ferry road intersection was reported to the City Council by its traffic committee last evening. Traffic proceeding across Ferry road from Moorhouse avenue had the right-of-way over traffic proceeding out of the city along Ferry road. Unfortunately the Ferry road traffic did not always yield the right-of-way, as drivers appeared to assume that all traffic on its right was turning right into Ferry road, as the vast majority did. At least one accident had occurred.
Recommending a give way sign in the short part of Nursery road between Moorhouse avenue and Ferry road, the committee said this would put any further restriction on the major flow of traffic and should eliminate the present doubt.
