Carnival Week means a short trading week, and a busy one, for all in the grocery trade. Many Christchurch folk have guests tor the week or visitors at some time during the week. Extra members of the household, parties, picnics or week-end outings—all these add up to increased demand for food and groceries. Today's shopping should therefore bring bigger turnovers to Christchurch grocers than the average Friday. Next week, when trade returns to normal, will be an opportune time for store-
