The announcement that the United Kingdom Government had decided to take action against the widespread and increasing dumping of
butter on the British market was very good news indeed, said Mr A. Linton, chairman of the Dairy Board, today. “This has been a long and hard road for the New Zealand dairy industry, and we hope we have at last reached the turning point "The test of this will really depend upon the action that is continued after the initial six-month period mentioned in the communique and the degree' to which other supplying countries take steps to bring consumption trends more into line with production,” Mr Linton said.
