STATE VISIT TO GHANA

Cancellation Sought (N^-P.A.-Reuter—COpvrigkt) LONDON. October 29. The League of Empire Ltoyslista passed a resolution today calling for the cancellation of Queen Elisabeth’s state visit to Ghana next month. The resolution. passed unanimously at the league's annual meeting, also asked for the termination of Ghana’s membership of the Commonwealth and the expulsion of President Nkrumah from the Privy Council. The league is a right-wing political group which believes in the development of Britain's colonial empire under British direction. Their meeting today denounced the British Government'« action in releasing the African leader. , Jocno Kenyatta, and “proposing to hand over Kenya to Mau Mau.” Another resolution condemned “the traitorous action of our hetf-American and totally internationalist Prime Minister in applying for membership of the European Common Market.” The meeting regretted the adoption by South Africa of a republican form of Government It hoped that British policy m Africa would soon be “drastically reviasd” to make a reversal of that decision possible. It considered tbat Dr. Verwoend and his Government were to be congratulated on their firm stood defence of the “white man's rights” to control the South African economy, and on refusing “domination by uAuneducated and irrenponsi bls black people.” *
