SOIL MOISTURE
The soil moisture deficit at i the Department of Agricul- ■ tune's irrigation research station at Winchmore was 218 ■ points yesterday morning. At the same time last year it was 149' points. Where the i deficit is more than 200 points considerable pasture production losses will have already occurred and two irrigations: may be necessary to restore pasture growth rate.
