Visit To Horsley Down
Nearly 90 members of the senior parishioners’ group of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church were entertained by the women of the Horsley Down Church recently as part of the St. Stephen’s patronal festival activities.
After inspecting the Horsley Down estate the group heard reminiscences of earlier days in North Canterbury from Mr C. G. Brooker. A short service in the Horsley Down Church, conducted by the vicar (the Rev. G. S. Lamont) ended the day’s visit.
