Australian Statement (TiJt. Press Assn.—Cop»rtofttj CANBERRA, October "6 The Australian Government was “maintaining its interest and activity” in the introduction of decimal coinage in Australia, said the Federal Treasurer (Mr H. E.; Holt) today. He was replying in the House of Representatives to a Questioner who asked if the Government had revised its policy on the introduction of decimal coinage. Mr Holt said: “I can assure Parliament we have not changed our attitude of support for the introduction of decimal coinage, if that commends itself to us after examining all the practical problems involved. “There will be no avoidable delay in examining those problems," he said.
