FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A shallow trough of low pressure is moving slowly eastwards on to New Zealand. Forecast:— Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland.— Moderate to fresh northerly winds; cloudy and mild with scattered rain. Outlook: a few showers on the West Coast; partly cloudy in Nelson and Marlbrough. Canterbury.—Moderate north-east winds predominating; cloudy and warm with showers in the Alps and a few isolated light showers elsewhere. Outlook: a few showers.
