CAR FOR AGED PEOPLE.—The new car, a gift from the Christchurch North Round Table to the Christchurch Aged Peoples’ Welfare Council, which was handed over yesterday by Mr J, Chisholm, president of the Christchurch North Round Table, at the occupational centre in Orbell street. Dr. H. R. Donald, ehairman of the executive of the welfare council, accepted the car on behalf of the council. Shown with the car, after the presentation, are, from left, Mrs M. E. Lawrie (member of the council), Mrs E. Clemons (a driver), and Miss B. Webb (chairman of the occupational committee).
