LIFE BOY COURSE
New Training Scheme The new basic training scheme for Life Boy leaders will be the main subject at the national instructors’ course to be held in Feilding during the Labour Day weekend. Thirty-six leaders of the movement will attend the three-day course. This scheme will be introduced next year for the training of new and prospective leaders. The chief guests will be the Mayor of Feilding (Mr H. Dewe) and the president of the Boys’ Brigade in New Zealand, Mr M. T. Dearsley. The host for the course will be the Life Boy director for New Zealand (Mr B. Young) and Mrs Young will be hostess. The chaplain will be the Rev. H. A. Tankersley, of Feilding. The instructors will be Mr Young, the Boys’ Brigade secretary (Mr A. Doman), the Wellington area supervisor (Miss H. C. Johnston) and the South Canterbury area supervisor (Mr H. Mauiger.). Leaders attending the course will include: Canterbury area, Mr W. F. Bishop (area supervisor), Mir J. N. Rose (Ist Christchurch Team), Mr W. R. Johns (24th Christchurch Team) and Mr R. N. Evans (32nd Christchurch Team); Nelson area, Mr A. Harris (3rd Blenheim Team): South Canterbury area, Mr E. P Butler (Ist Temuka Team), Miss E. R. White (3rd Timaru Team) and Mr. R. C. Auty (4th Timaru Team).
