Situation.—An extensive anti-cyclone centred to the east of Gisborne extends over New Zealand. Forecast:— Nelson, Marlborough, Buller and Westland.— Light to moderate variable winds; cloudy to overcast night and morning, otherwise partly cloudy; temperatures mild. Outlook: overcast in Buller and Westland, with rain developing during the day in Westland, elsewhere partly cloudy. Canterbury^—Moderate to fresh north-easterlies near the coast, otherwise winds light to moderate and variable; some cloudy areas near the coast night and morning and a few scattered patches of morning fog, otherwise fine, mild to warm day temperatures.
