THIS VETERAN TRACTOR, a Peterboro, which was made in about 1919, may have been the tractor of this make which demonstrated tractor ploughing in the district in 1923. One of several early tractors owned by Mr I. T. Giltrap, of Doyleston, it was bought by him some years ago from the Culverden district. A plate on the side of the massive crankcase says its production number is 135. Only a few of these tractors were imported into New Zealand.
