DELAYS TO PLANE
Prediction By Passenger
(N.ZP.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, October 5.
A French gymnastics instructor was today bound for Abidjan, Ivory Coast, after three times correctly predicting delays in the flight carrying him there. Mr Jean-Claude Cuisseau had been due to leave Orly airport on Monday night in an Air France SuperConstellation. but he told the stewardess the plane would only get as far as Lyons and then return to Paris. As the plane flew over Lyons, the pilot announced he was returning to Paris becauase of a slight technical fault. After the flight was rescheduled for Tuesday evening, Mr Cuisseau announced that the plane would go no further’ than the runway. The plane rolled on to the tarmac, waited for the takeoff signal—and the pilot announced a further delay, again because of a technical hitch.
The flight was rescheduled for noon yesterday, at which time Mr Cuisseau was in his hotel room doing calisthenics. He told a hotel employee who came to fetch him: “Tell the passengers they are wasting their time. The plane will not take oft.”
He was right. The flight was rescheduled tor yesterday evening.
Asked by reporters how he did it. Mr Cuisseau said: “I spent a certain time in India a number of years ago and learned the methods of the wise men of that country I get these powers when I am very tired.” He made no statement on take-off last night.
