Comfortable Shoes
(N.Z. Ptess Association) WELLINGTON, October 6. Miss M. B. .Howard (Opposition, Sydenham) asked the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) in the House of Representatives today if he would call a conference of representatives of manufacturers, shoe retailers and women in different age groups, including the president of the New Zealand Society of Chiropodists (Mrs W. G. Jenkins), to discuss the provisions of “comfortable and wearable shoes with round tees and sensible heels.” 1 Miss Howard quoted a report that North Island foot- ■ wear manufacturers were i moving to introduce pointed ■ toes in girls’ shoes as part lot normal school footwear.
