Arthur’s Pass Park
(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON. Oct. 6.
A question as to whether the important work of maintaining and developing Arthur’s Pass national park was being sufficiently encouraged by the Government was asked in the House of Renresentatives today by Mr H. E L. Pickering (Government, Hurun-ui). “For purposes of soil con-| servation. water storage and Hie preservation of a vast area for recreation and promotion of our tourist industry, the work being done by ‘he Arthur’s Pass National Park Board deserves wholehearted support," said Mr Pickering.
