Fisherman Lands 13½lb Trout
(From Out Own Reporter) WAIMATE, Oct. 3. A young Waimate man bought a fishing licence late on Monday afternoon and on Monday evening took his rod to the Waihao river. Fishing near the mouth, he hooked and landed a brown trout weighing 13|lb. The fish was 30in in length, and measured 17jin round the girth. The angler was Mr J. Price, of Coronation street, Waimate. He goes on record as having taken the heaviest fish from the Waihao for many years.
