Navy League Auxiliary
The sum of £146 was raised at a stall held in Cathedra] square recently by the women’s auxiliary of the Navy League. This was reported at a women's auxiliary meeting when the president (Mrs G. G. Simpson) presided. The proceeds will help maintain the Sea Cadet unit The auxiliary wished to thank those who assisted with the stall by sending goods, serving, or giving donations. said Mrs Simpson. Mrs R. Treleaven would arrange -for a Christmas parcel to be sent to the bay sponsored by the auxiliary under the Save the Children Fund, it was reported. Committee'members agreed to collect for the Young Women’s Christian Association, the British Sailors’ Society, and the Save the Children Fund stalls and street appeals. »
