AUSTRALIAN IMPORTS Licensing Urged Without import licensing, there is no method of preventing an Australian industry, efficient or inefficient, from being eliminated, the chairman of Bruck Mills (Aust), Ltd., Mr R. J. Vicars, says ,in his annual review. With a general improvement in the economic climate, Bruck Mills can return to profitable trading, he says. However, any benefits of the emergency duty on medium and higher class fabrics will not be apparent for several months, until stocks are liquidated and normal trading resumed. He says the company has continued successfully to widen its range of fabrics.
