' Merger Talks In London Soon (NJCf jl.-Rmtter-CoßyricM) KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 2. The Malayan Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman) Mid today that he would fly to London shortly for talks with the British Government on the posiible merger of Singapore with the Malayan Federation. "The Federation and Singapore have to clear up certain points and difficulties with Britain,’’ he told reporters. No date had been fixed for his departure for London. Political observers in Kuala Lumpur believed the Malayan Prime Minister might be accompanied by Singapore’s Prime Minister (Mr Lee Kuan Yew). Mr Lee told a press conference in Singapore on Saturday that Britain should “get a move on” in initiating talks with Malaya on the future status of the military base in Singapore in event of a merger.
