TELEVISION IN DUNEDIN
Transmission Postponed (N2. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Oct 3. The first full-scale transmission of television in Dunedin has been postponed until “.very early next year,” according to the Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Kinsella). The previous target had been the end of this year, he said to Dunedin tonight. Declining to pinpoint an actual date, the Minister said it depended on when the transmitter, at present being used -in Auckland, became available, and when new accommodation for the Broadcasting Service was available. The present broadcasting premises would be taken over for televising.
