The connexions of the New Zealand-bred colt Blue Era are having difficulty in securing a suitable jockey for him in the Caulfield Guineas on Saturday week and the Victoria Derby on November 4. Hill will, have the mount on Summer Fair in the Guineas and the Victoria Derby. He cannot make the weight for the colt in the Caulfield Cup and the former New Zealand light-weight, W. A. Smith, will have the mount in that event
