PUBLIC NOTICE THE SPRINGS-ELLESMERB ELECTRIC POWER BOARD Redemption Loan No. 12 1841 (To be raised by Special Order) PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that ar. a meeting of The Springs - Ellesmere Electric Power Board heid on the 12th day of September 1241, the following resolution was posed by way of Special Order, AND THAT such resolution will be confirmed at a meeting of the said Board to be held at the; office* of the Board at Leerion on Tuesday the 10th day of I October 1941 at 9.30 o'clock I in the forenoon: IN PURSUANCE and exercise, of the power* conferred on it! by Section 34 of "The Local Authorities Loan* Act. 1956" ■: and by Section 45 of "The Electric Power Boards Act' 1925" and with the sanction of th* Local Authorities Loans Board and the consent given: by an Order-in-Council made I on the 23rd day at August 1941, THE SPRINGS - ELLESMERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD (hereinafter called "foe Board") HEREBY RESOLVES BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER as follows: (a) For the purpose of redeeming at maturity that portion of the issue of £30,000 of the No 12 Reticulation Loan 1956. of £lOO,OOO, which mature* on the Ist day of November 1941, the Board hereby resolve* to borrow in New Zealand, the sum of £17.800 such loan to be known aa "Redemption Loan No. 12. IM." (b) The term for which the eaid loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be five year* or 10 years provided that the amount available for five year* shall be unlimited where the loan i* offered to existing holders, but where it is offered to the public the amount available for five year* shall be limited to 30 per cent, of the I loan. (c) The rate of interest that ' may be paid In respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lender* a rate or rates exceeding five per cent, per annum for principal repayable in five year* and five and one-eighth per cent, per annum for principal repayable in 10 years. (d) The Board shall, before raising the said loan, or any part thereof, make provision tor the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not les* than Five pound* one shipping and ninepence per cent, per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. (e) The payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. (f) The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. (■) Payment of interest and sinking fund instalments in respect of the said loan and the repayment thereof shall be secured by a special rate annually recurring of threefortieth* of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of th* capital value) at all rateable property in the Springs-Ellewnere Sectric Power District (h) Debentures or Inscribed stock shall be issued in respect of the said loan a* individual lenders may elect.
