Cheongsam Modesty
(N .Z.P.A.-Xsuter—Copyright) HONG KONG. A group of women public leaders from the colony’s “kaifong” (good neighbour) associations is trying to persuade fashion-conscious Chinese women in Hong Kong to wear less revealing cheongsams. The group has launched a “modesty campaign” for the form-fitting, slits-at-the sides gown. It has asked women not to wear cheongsams with slits more than two inches above the knee or that are so tight that they “distort” their natural curves.— Reuter.
