BLIND BOWLERS’ TOURNAMENT

|®e Chrisfebureh Blind In(Sbrif Bowls Club is preparing for the annual national blind bowlers' tournament. >0 be held at Hamilton. Ten totally or partially blind members will be going, accompanied by eight sighted escorts. The manager will be the club president (Mr H J. Gough) and the coach the club secretary (Mr N. E Hocking). Both Mr Gbugh and Mr Hocking are sighted Five clubs will be represented at the tournament— Auckland, Waikato. Palmers'on North. Wellington, and Christchurch.
Among the Christchurch players will be Miss V Blanche, who scored the highest aggregate points at last year's Palmerston North championships.
Among the trophies to be competed for. will be the Rosebowl (by the first-rank four from each centre), and ’he Friendship Cup (for fours generally). Other competitions will be the men’s, women’s, and open singles, the men’s and women’s singles for the totally blind, and the open pairs.
